As an EHS Coordinator, you ensure that the controls that are in place to prevent safety, environmental, and health incidents are effective and properly maintained. Providing administrative support to the EHS officer, you coordinate in-person safety training, manage the online training platform, assist with data entry, and prepare documentation. You also assist with procedural and facility environmental and safety audits to maintain regulatory compliance.

Your analytical skills are put to use when participating in incident and accident investigations. You are highly thorough as you research rules and regulations pertaining to facility modifications, upgrades, and new installations. It is your responsibility to then provide written interpretations and guidance on how to meet regulatory requirements during such facility modifications. You perform quality assurance and control inspections of documentation to ensure they meet expectations.   • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Associate degree in environmental science or a closely related science OR comparable work experience

A bachelor's degree in EHS or a related field is preferred but not required. Experience working at an altitude above 10,000 ft. or working at an astronomical observatory as well as OSHA-30 (occupational safety and health administration), HazWOPER-40 (hazardous waste operations and emergency response), or HazMat DOT (hazardous materials department of transportation) skills would be a plus!
