A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

As a Senior Accountant, you are a professional with project-based budgeting. You primarily help build relationships and create projections. This job allows you to look at several different aspects of accounting, i.e. federal grants, general accounting, etc. so you're always alert and focused. You also perform general accounting, do budget projections, monitor the fiscal activities of the entire organization, and do some cash management. From ensuring accounting system integrity to preparing reports, you are busy every shift. Instrument building and infrastructure growth rely heavily on your ability to forecast and project correctly, so you take pride in your skills and efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or related field from an accredited university
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, FASB, and federal and state regulations
