We are looking for someone who is motivated to do quality work and further their career as a Journeyman Electrician or Infrastructure Technician. As a Journeyman Electrician / Infrastructure Technician, you are part of a group that works on a variety of rehab work on our telescopes. You bring new capabilities onto the telescope! You are responsible for hooking up all the new instruments and capabilities. In addition to this, you are heavily involved with repair and maintenance in our physical plant, rehabilitation or changing instrumentation on satellites/optics, and providing other technical needs for the telescope systems.
You interact with others in a friendly manner, keep your tools and workspace clean, and help out wherever else is needed. You love using your skills to improve our equipment and overall business.

  • Hawaii journeyman electrician license
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Experience with electrical maintenance and repair
  • Proven track record for safe, reliable, and high-quality work
  • Able to do pre-employment medical exam
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the job- lifting, walking, working in high altitudes, etc.
